Leah Koenigs, MA, LPC – Delta Center
Leah is a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Winona State University and a Master of Arts degree from Adler Graduate School. She has been working in the mental health field for over 7 years.
Leah’s philosophy of counseling is based on the belief that building a safe and validating relationship where clients feel understood is the cornerstone of guiding clients to become aware of and utilize their innate power to change. Leah believes this approach allows the client the ability to discover how to utilize their own inner strengths and overcome any presenting concerns.
Leah is passionate about providing counseling services to children and adolescents ages 3 to 17. She has extensive training in and provides Experiental Play Therapy in addition to traditional talk therapy approaches.
Specialities Include: Mood disorders, anxiety, grief/bereavement, trauma, ADHD, impulse control, emotional regulation, self-esteem, behavioral difficulties in school and/or home, divorce or separation, parenting, and difficulties in family communication.
