Amanda Draxler MS, LPC, NCC – Delta Center
Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Master’s Degree from UW-Oshkosh in Professional Counseling-Clinical Mental Health. Amanda has been working in the mental health field for 7 years and her approach to counseling is collaborative and eclectic. Her philosophy of counseling is based on the belief that the client possesses the power to change, and that it is her role to help the client become aware of how to understand and utilize that power. She also employs techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which empowers the client to dispute your internal thinking process and to encourage positive change. Amanda also uses techniques from Client-Centered and Family Systems. When working with children and adolescents she utilizes art and play therapy techniques. Amanda believes this approach allows the client the ability to discover how to utilize his/her own inner strengths and overcome any presenting issues.
